Liposculpture

Liposculpture is a surgical procedure used to enhance body contour and muscle definition. Unlike traditional liposuction, which targets larger areas of fat, liposculpture focuses on refining small, localized fat deposits.

Instead of simply removing fat, this technique redistributes it strategically to achieve a more toned and sculpted appearance. It’s particularly beneficial for areas that don’t respond to diet or exercise

How Does Liposculpture Work?

During liposculpture, the surgeon removes unwanted fat and transfers a portion of it to specific areas of the body to enhance shape and definition. This is not a weight-loss procedure; rather, it’s intended for patients with good skin elasticity who wish to refine and tighten their contours.

The technique commonly used is tumescent liposuction, which minimizes blood loss and scarring. During the procedure, the surgeon injects a sterile solution containing a local anesthetic. Then, through a small incision, a thin tube called a cannula is inserted beneath the skin to carefully remove or reposition fat deposits.

Recovery and Aftercare

Patients should arrange for someone to drive them home after surgery due to the effects of anesthesia and prescribed pain medication. You will receive detailed post-operative instructions that must be followed closely to ensure a safe and smooth recovery.

Although liposculpture is generally safe, following medical guidance is essential to prevent complications and achieve the best aesthetic results. Most patients are advised to avoid lifting heavy objects or engaging in intense physical activity for at least four weeks after the procedure.

Mild swelling or bruising may occur but typically improves within the first few weeks.
